چکیده
We concentrate on the design of a FIR lter for a fast transform based sinusoidal sound synthesis engine using linear programming and the construction of controller modules that emulate the behavior of contemporary and vintage commercial synthesizers or synthesis techniques. We will show that it is possible to create an entire highly controllable (playable) synthesis framework on top of the transform based engine. For a large class of signals with a sparse representation in the sinusoidal domain the cost for synthesizer modules is relatively low compared to time domain synthesis or processing techniques. Examples are modal synthesis of percussion instruments, combined synthesis and ltering for analog modeling synthesis, and abstract models for FM-like sounds. 1 Filter design for a sinusoidal synthesis engine using linear programming and sound synthesis examples Tom Schouten, Bart De Moor Abstract| We concentrate on the design of a FIR lter for a fast transform based sinusoidal sound synthesis engine using linear programming and the construction of controller modules that emulate the behavior of contemporary and vintage commercial synthesizers or synthesis techniques. TAPESTREA is a sound design and composition framework that facilitates the creation of new sound from existing digital audio recordings, through interactive analysis, transformation and re-synthesis. During analysis, sinusoidal modeling and transient detection techniques are used to parametrically extract desired sound templates of different types: sinusoidal events, transient events, and stoch...
متن کاملA Recurrent Neural Network Model for Solving Linear Semidefinite Programming
In this paper we solve a wide rang of Semidefinite Programming (SDP) Problem by using Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs). SDP is an important numerical tool for analysis and synthesis in systems and control theory. First we reformulate the problem to a linear programming problem, second we reformulate it to a first order system of ordinary differential equations. Then a recurrent neural network...
متن کاملDesign of Optimal Process Flowsheet for Fractional Crystallization Separation Process
A procedure is presented that synthesizes fractional crystallization separation processes to obtain pure solids from multi-component solutions. The method includes a procedure to generate a network flow model to identify alternative process designs for fractional crystallization. The main advantage of this systematic procedure with respect to other reported procedures is using non-equilibri...
متن کاملSound Quantity and Quality of Sampo 3065 Combine Harvester
ABSTRACT- Noise is considered as one of the most debilitating conditions in farming operations. In this study, a number of factors affecting the noise generated by Sampo 3065 combine harvesters were evaluated. Factors were engine speed and gear ratio for combines with and without original cabins. A factorial experiment arranged as a completely randomized design with four replicates was used. Re...
متن کاملAnalysis and Resynthesis of Quasi-harmonic Sounds: an Iterative Filterbank Approach
We employ a hybrid state-space sinusoidal model for general use in analysis-synthesis based audio transformations. This model, which has appeared previously in altered forms (e.g. [5], [8], perhaps others) combines the advantages of a source-filter model with the flexible, time-frequency based transformations of the sinusoidal model. For this paper, we specialize the parameter identification ta...
